3419920 - Primary Email showing as Anonymized in Integration Centre before the RCM Entity Anonymization job runs - Recruiting Management

Symptom

The Primary Email is showing as Anonymized in Integration Centre for a candidate that has been marked for anonymization, but the RCM Entity Anonymization job has not run yet.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Candidate profile gets deleted either by using the "Anonymize Candidate Profiles" feature, declining DPCS or else deleting candidate profile via external career site
  2. Before the RCM Entity Anonymization job runs, go to Admin Center>Integration Center
  3. From the candidate entity, include the  Primary Email field
  4. Notice that the Primary Email is listed like "Anonymized1234567...", but the RCM Entity Anonymization job has not run yet:

Resolution

The engineering team have confirmed that this is expected behaviour as once the candidate profile has been anonymized via Admin Center or by candidate deleting their own profile or declining DPCS, the profile is deleted and removed from the SOLR Index and the primary email is included in this deletion. Hence why it will appear as Anonymized even before the RCM Entity Anonymization job runs.
