3420103 - Configuration Transport Center: Validation Errors and No-Warning Results

Symptom

When validating the configuration to troubleshoot potential errors before any configuration is transferred from one tenant to another, you check the validation status and see one of the following:

Completed with Warnings
Completed with Errors
Completed with No errors or Warnings
Failed
Pending
In Progress
Expired

How to proceed then?

Reproducing the Issue

Go to Admin Center.
Search for Configuration Transport Center.
Go to Transport Requests > Imports.
You can view the bundles received by the tenant.
In the Action menu, choose Validate.
Choose Ok to confirm the validation process.
The validation job is complete. The Import, the View Report, and the Show History buttons are enabled.
Go to Transport Requests > Imports to confirm that it was successful, or to identify potential errors. The Last Action, the Status of Last Action, and the Date fields are updated with the respective values.

Resolution

Once you check the validation status, you can refer to the below actions:

If the status is...	Then...
Completed Successfully	import the selected configuration bundle to your tenant.
Completed with Warnings	in the Action menu, choose View Report and take corrective actions based on the validation messages and validate the bundle again. When you validate a configuration bundle, the status Completed with Warnings might occur because the bundle relies on certain configurations or dependencies that are not present in the target tenant. However, even if these warnings occur, it is still possible to import the bundle.
Completed with Errors	in the Action menu, choose View Report and take corrective actions based on the validation messages and validate the bundle again. When you validate a configuration bundle, the status Completed with Errors might occur because the bundle relies on certain configurations or dependencies that are not present in the target tenant. However, even if these errors occur, it is still possible to import the bundle.
Failed	in the Action menu, choose View Report to view the log. Create another configuration bundle, transport it to the target tenant and validate it. If the issue persists, then contact SAP Cloud Support. The Import button is disabled if the validation fails.
Pending	the validation request is in queue for processing.
In Progress	the validation request is being processed by the server.
Expired	the configuration bundle is available to validate for up to 30 days. After 30 days, the configuration bundle is removed.
No validation and no error	This works as designed. It is happening when customer trying to transport a Workflow with incorrect Business rules (and any other equivalent scenarios) the transport will be in "Completed status without Error or Warnings". It does not check whether values used in conditions or set statements actually exist. With the 1H2026 release, the Configure Business Rules UI will show a warning when a rule is opened and a value used in the rule’s condition or in a set statement does not exist. In a future release we will add these warnings to the Check Tool so an admin running the Check Tool after importing a transport bundle will receive this as a warning.

Note: When the validation ends with status "Completed with Warnings" or "Completed with errors", and you already have taken the corrective actions as mentioned above, but the validation continues with those status, it can occur because the bundle relies on certain configurations or dependencies that are not present in the target tenant.

In this cases, you can proceed and submit the actual import even if these errors occur, it is expected that the actual import completes successfully then.
