3420313 - Enable Modification of Address

You are using SAP SuccessFactors integration channels, such as SAP Master Data Integration and Core HR with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (JB1). Until SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2308 release, you could modify the default address, but not the private address of the employee BP or the employment BP using the Manage Business Partner app, the Maintain Business Partner app, or the Business Partner OData API. From SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2402 release onward, you will not be able to modify the default address of the employee BP or the employment BP using the Business Partner apps.

Till SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2308 release, the employee BP and employment BP created through the above-mentioned integration channels had two different address numbers for the default and private address types, even though the address details were same for both the address types. These two address types (default and private) have been merged into one address number from SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2402 release. Earlier, only the private address was protected. Now default address is also protected. In other words, the default address is also protected and cannot be edited in SAP S/4HANA Cloud using the Manage Business Partner app, the Maintain Business Partner app, or the Business Partner OData API.

You can now use the Manage Workforce app to modify the private address of the employment BP in SAP S/4HANA Cloud if you are using SAP SuccessFactors integration channels, such as SAP Master Data Integration and Core HR with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (JB1).

These are the configuration steps that you need to perform if you wish to modify the private address of the employment BP:

1. Log on to SAP Fiori launchpad in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system as a Configuration Expert - Business Process Configuration (SAP_BR_BPC_EXPERT).
2. Open the Manage Your Solution app.
3. On the Configure Your Solution screen, filter the list using the following values:
   • Application Area: Human Resources
   • Subapplication Area: Organization
   • Item Name: Value Mappings
4. On the Configure Your Solution: Value Mappings screen, choose the Configuration Steps tab.
5. Search for Enable Editing of Private Address with the Manage Workforce App and choose Configure.
6. Select the Edit Private Address option.
7. Choose Save.
   
   Note

• If you modify a private address using the Manage Workforce app in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, the address is overwritten by the address sent from the source system (SAP SuccessFactors) in the next update for the workforce person.
• You cannot modify other data, such as work agreement, and so on using the Manage Workforce app for the workforce persons created using integration channels (such as SAP Master Data Integration and Core HR with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (JB1)).
