3420389 - SNC fails with Name or password is incorrect with snc/accept_insecure_rfc=0 in BI Platform

Symptom

  • After setting snc/accept_insecure_rfc=0 in BW, SNC connections (for instance clicking on role import tab) fail with "Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)" message
  • In the BW Dev logs, the below errors may be seen:
    N  Flag 'Don't use SNC for SSO' detected
    N  AcceptInsecure : Login without SNC rejected, reason: Profile parameter
    N                   snc/accept_insecure_rfc = N 
    N  DyISigni(): return code=10 "Logon requires SNC (Secure Network Communication)" (see note 320991)
