3420625 - Setting Up Time Retention to Purge Audit Data

• As an SAP SuccessFactors administrator I want to purge Audit data from my tenant;
• As an SAP SuccessFactors administrator I want to specify retention period for audit data;
• Before 1H 2024 release, to specify retention period: Go to Admin Center > Manage Audit Configuration or I make changes on the DRTM Audit Data Purge' objects. What will happen after 1H 2024?

By default, all the tenants have a 2-year time retention set for Audit Data. When this time is reached, the audit data gets automatically purged.

NOTE: Purging Audit Data no longer require running purge jobs, as the DRTM Audit Data purge job has been deprecated. 

How to configure the time retention for Audit Data? 

1. Go to Manage Audit Data > Audit Retention
2. In this tab, edit the field "Default Retention Policy"

Required permissions to edit the setting:

• From Admin Center permissions:
  • View, Read and Change Audit Configuration
  • Metadata Framework > Access to non-secured objects
• From Audit Configuration permissions:
  • View and Edit permission for Audit Configuration
