3420636 - Requested font was not found and font substitution is not allowed for PDF/A

Symptom

  • An ADS exception occurs when trying to generate a PDF/A Document;
  • The following error message can be found when debugging the issue or in the default trace:

"com.adobe.ProcessingException: com.adobe.ads.exception.TransientException: A problem was encountered with the results: Exception: 20511 : Requested font 'XXXXXX' was not found and font substitution is not allowed for PDF/A. Reason: 20511 : Requested font 'XXXXXX' was not found and font substitution is not allowed for PDF/A"
