Cause

The custom token will fetch the email address from the manager's profile only via business rule. Direct mapping cannot be used.

Resolution

Email Information is a collection (multiple values can be involved like personal email, business email), hence it is not resolving the value with Direct Mapping. Use Rule Mapping instead of Direct Mapping.

1. Configure Business Rule tool > Create New rule.

Scenario is Basic, Rule type = Document Generation, Base object = Document Mapping Rule Result

2. Add Parameter object Job Information with code jobInformation.

When adding code: jobInformation, only 'Information' is capital 'I'

3. Set it either as 'Always true' or you can configure 'If' condition:

To add custom tokens in email notifications, you need to create a custom token template using Document Generation- Manage Document Template.

4. Create template: EMAIL_CUSTOM_TOKEN_MAPPING with place holder [[cust_HiringManagerEmail]] for email address.

In Document Generation- Manage Document Template > Create New: Document Generation Template.

Template ID = EMAIL_CUSTOM_TOKEN_MAPPING, Category = Document Generation:

5. Map the custom token using Document Generation- Manage Document Template Mapping.

In the second search bar type 'email', your newly created custom token template will appear:

Use Rule Mapping instead of Direct Mapping. Under Rule, select the rule you created, click save:

6. Insert the custom token in the email template. Go to Email Services > select the (ONB) External User Welcome Message Template > go to Step 3 > next to Body text click Insert token > Select the token and click save.
