3421374 - Cannot Trigger I-9 correction for Section 1 - Onboarding

How to trigger a task to correct the SSN filled in i-9 Section 1, if there is a pending section 2. 

When tried to create the task an error occurs:

The previous sections of Form I-9 are incomplete for the selected user. Please complete them to proceed.

There is a pending task in the Hiring Manager's dashboard. It is necessary for the Hiring Manager to correct the data.

Please be informed that this is one of the possible reasons for the error. Here are some possible validations which can be checked to understand why the standard correction fails:

• Check I-9 User Data Status via Manage Data
• Check the Compliance Process Status via Manage Data

When you need to correct the SSN filled in I-9 section 1, the candidate is hired, and there is a section 2 pending to Hiring Manager please follow these steps:

1. Go to Employee Profile > Correct the SSN number
2. Go to Dashboard > Actions > Correct Form I-9 Section 1
3. After to do that you can follow the standard procedure described in guide: Creating a Task to Correct USCIS Form I-9

If you don't have the option to "Correct Form I-9 Section 1" available in Dashboard under Actions:

1. Ensure that the candidate is already hired
2. Ensure that in Dashboard a task to Hire Manager fill Section 2 is not completed
3. Go to Manage Data > I-9 User Data > Search for the candidate UserId > Find the register to Section 2 
4. If the status is Section 2 - Submitted > Change for "Section 1 - Signed"
5. After that you can follow the previous steps.
