3421749 - Is Business Catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT deprecated with Release 7.84 (in 2021)

• Business Catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT is deprecated with Release 7.84 (in 2021), but it's still available in the system.
• Would like to know what is the meaning of "Deprecated with Release:7.84" in business catalogs app for business catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Business catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT is part of the Basis Software Component of S/4HANA and therefore the Basis release is displayed.

S/4HANA 2102 is based on 7.83
S/4HANA 2105 is based on 7.84
etc.

This was afterwards modified and, you should now see the S/4HANA Cloud release instead for recently deprecated business catalogs.

Note: Business catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT will be deleted with release 2402. So, you should switch to the successor catalogs now.

Once the deprecation of a business catalog is announced with the Business Catalogs app, the catalog stays in the system for at least 6 months before being deleted.
