Symptom

  • Starting in ASE SP04 PL04 and up, net password encryption is enabled by default for clients.
  • Utilities such as isql and bcp can use -W switch to disable net password encryption if desired.
  • optdiag does not have a -W switch to disable the net password encryptoin if desired.
