3422515 - HADR operation: sap_failover is failed - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE is configured for HADR.
  • Primary ASE is shutdown.
  • Fault Manager triggered automatic failover.
  • Primary ASE is immediately started.  During boot, no connections are allowed.
  • Standby ASE checks status of remote nodes and cannot find the primary ASE because it cannot connect to it.
  • Primary ASE continues to be Primary, Standby ASE is also changed to Primary.
  • When "activate" is called on the standby ASE, hadr_activate failed because the original primary has finished booting and became Primary-Active.
