Symptom

  • A complex query on CDS view/object fails with Msg 251 
Msg 251, Level 16, State 3:
Server 'XXX', Line 1:
Unable to allocate ancillary table for query optimization.  Maximum number of tables in a query (128) exceeded.
  • For Business Suite, you may see sql error 251 reported in dev trace file (dev_w*):

    C  able for query optimization.  Maximum number of tables in a query (128) exceeded.

  • The ASE version is higher than ASE16 SP03 PL06 which has fix of SAP CR 815102.
