3422986 - Error 14218 when creating a stored procedure - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • The configuration parameter "deferred name resolution" is enabled.
  • Creating a stored procedure that refers to a user defined function that is not yet created, raises error 14218 when the procedure is executed:

    Msg 14218, Level 16, State 1:
    Procedure 'my_proc', Line 3:
    Cannot create or execute a SQLJ UDF, because Java services are not enabled.
