3423167 - System Crashes With Error "Please try Resuming Your Work. If You Still Face Issues, Report an Incident " While Activating Organizational Structure.

When performing the activation of an Org Unit in the system the below error message is displayed.

"Please try Resuming Your Work. If You Still Face Issues, Report an Incident."

SAP Business ByDesign 

1. Go to Organizational Management work center.
2. Click on Edit Org Structures, under Common Tasks.
3. Select an effective date.
4. Select the Org Unit ABC (where ABC refers to the Org Unit ID).
5. Choose the Check button (alternatively, choose Activate button).
6. From the drop down list, select "Check Selected Structure" button (alternatively, click on "Activate Selected Structure" button).

Dump : "Please try Resuming Your Work. If You Still Face Issues, Report an Incident."

Organizational unit is not getting activated as supplier approval process is involved .

To rectify this error, perform the below workaround:

Descope the supplier approval settings by following the below steps:

1. Go to Business configuration work center.
2. Go to Edit Project Scope.
3. Go to Questions step.
4. Go to General Business Data.
5. Navigate to Business Partners tab and Handling of Business Partners subtab.
6. Descope the question "Do you want to set up the approval process for suppliers?".

NOTE: To descope the supplier approval question, ensure that there are no pending approvals for the suppliers in the system.

Then, perform the activation of the Organizational Unit ABC.

1. Go to Organizational Management work center.
2. Click on Edit Org Structures, under Common Tasks.
3. Select an effective date.
4. Select the Org Unit ABC.
5. Choose the Activate button.
6. From the drop down list, click on Activate Selected Structure.

The Org Unit ABC modification will be activated correctly.

After the Org Unit ABC activation, the supplier approval settings can be scoped again in the business configuration.
