3423228 - Wrong Transport Lane Selected As Source Of Supply

Symptom

- The system selects the transport lane linked to the Global transport zone instead of the transport lane specific to the country of the ship-to location.
- This issue is observed when editing a sales order in the Outbound Logistics Control work center.

Environment

- SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

1. Go to the Outbound Logistics Control work center.
2. Navigate to the Customer Demand view.
3. Search for the relevant sales order, select it and choose the Edit button.
4. Navigate to the Line Items tab and choose the Sub-tab Alternative Sources.
5. Observe that the system has selected the Source of Supply as the lane linked to the Global transport zone, not the lane linked to the zone specific to the ship-to location.

Cause

The system is not selecting the transport lane specific to the ship-to location because the transport lane connected to the global zone has a shorter shipping duration.

Resolution

1. Set the priority of the transport lane that needs to be selected as higher than the one you do not prefer. This takes precedence over any other settings.
2. Change the shipping duration of the lane that needs to be selected to a shorter one.
