3423302 - FAA_POST 213 when posting to a legacy asset

Symptom

Posting current year depreciation via the Migration Cockpit or the Post Legacy Transfers app gives error FAA_POST 213 "Not possible to transfer posted values for asset & &; base amount missing".

Environment

S/4Hana Cloud ERP.

Reproducing the Issue

Posting current year depreciation (07205) to a legacy asset

Cause

There is no base (acquisition) value posted to the asset.

Resolution

Post Cumulative APC (07000) if a prior year legacy asset in the Cumulative Values past of the migration template or Post Legacy Values app.
Post acquisition a current year acquisition via the transactions tabs in the migration template, or using the Post Acquisition app.

When the legacy asset has a base value, then it will be possible to post current year depreciation up until the legacy transfer date (mid year).
