3423514 - Failed to Cancel Onboarding and Deactivate a Candidate - Onboarding

• An error is being received when trying to cancel an Onboarding for a candidate.
• Error Message: [COE0018] deactivating external user XXXX failed.
• In Integration Center, try to change the status from 'e' to 'd' and it is being completed with errors.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. From the Onboarding Dashboard, select the candidate that needs to be cancelled.
2. In the 'Actions' tab, click cancel
3. Enter cancelation reason
4. Error is received.

Error in the logs: Load external user failed. The status is: -40 with the index 0

• The -40 error code correspond to an invalid gender.
• Gender is an enum and has a hard-coded sync mapping from personalInfo.gender to gender standard element. 
• The Enhancement to Gender Values – Inclusion of Additional Gender Values is not yet updated from Upgrade Center

For Live Customer and/or Implementation Partner

• Please check and confirm if you see a button that says 'Upgrade Now' from the 'View Recently Completed Upgrades', if so, the Enhancement to Gender Values – Inclusion of Additional Gender Values from the upgrade center must be updated.
• Then, try to Cancel the Onboarding for the candidate again.
• If the issue persists, create a support ticket to confirm the error in the logs is the same as mentioned in the 'Cause' section.
