Symptom
User created a shopping cart and an approver is determined for it.
However, when searching the shopping cart in report or data source, the approver value is missing, shown as # or Not Assigned.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Business Analytics work center.
- Go to Design Data Source view.
- Open data source Shopping Cart Item Details (SRMIR_B02).
- Execute the report.
User sees for numerous shopping Carts, the "Approver" filed shows value "Not Assigned" or "#" in the report, even though when clicking into these shopping Carts there is an approver maintained.
Cause
The shopping cart is still in approval and no approver approved it yet.
The Approver field on the report is to reflect historic data. Only when an approval step is completed, can the approver information be reflected on the report.
If there are multiple approval steps for the shopping cart, only the last approver who approved it can be reflected on reports.
Resolution
This is the standard system behavior.
The same logic applies to all reports which based on the data source Shopping Cart Item Details (SRMIR_B02).
