3425054 - HTTP 500 error after Setting up TA(Trusted Authentication) for the BOE web applications using the QUERY_STRING method

Symptom

  • In BI 4.2/4.3 there are specific directories where the TrustedPrincipal.conf file need to be place in order to achieve Single Sign On (SSO) via Trusted Authentication.
  • There may be a need to place the TrustedPrincipal.conf file in a location other than the default location the BusinessObjects SDK will look.
  • The WEBAPP log shows that it cannot find the shared secret, but the TrustedPrincipal.conf actually exists in the required path.
