• See error while submitting Rehire Data Review task after choosing Rehire on Old Employment for candidate who has cancelled onboarding process before.
• Error message: External Users are not supported for this operation.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Initiate onboarding for candidate >> cancel onboarding
2. Later, re-initiate onboarding for the candidate with the same information >> triggering Rehire Verification >> choose Rehire on Old Employment
3. Submit Rehire Data Review task
4. See error: "External Users are not supported for this operation."

It's an expected behavior.

Candidate was once created as external user and then the process was cancelled before he/she is hired, hence there is actually no old employment for him/her.

Therefore, there is no point to apply Rehire on Old Employment for this candidate.

※ By design, it's expected behavior that if Onboarding is re-initiated for an external user after his/her previous Onboarding process is cancelled, this candidate's details will go into rehire selection. (Please refer to documents in "See Also".)

1. Proceed to hire the candidate as New Hire / Rehire with New Employment to avoid the error. 
2. (Recommended) Purge the cancelled candidate data.
