3425818 - CpqTableEntryModifiedBy and CpqTableEntryDateModified columns are not updated when populating a Custom Table via Script

Symptom

The CpqTableEntryModifiedBy and CpqTableEntryDateModified columns do not get updated when filling a Custom Table through a Script.

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Generate a script to modify entries in the Custom Table
  2. Execute the script in the Script Workbench
  3. Navigate to Setup, access Custom Tables, and locate the desired table
  4. Observe a modification record at the top left (Date modified and User), yet the CpqTableEntryModifiedBy and CpqTableEntryDateModified fields remain empty.

Resolution

This is a limitation. The CpqTableEntryModifiedBy and CpqTableEntryDateModified fields will not be updated if the entries are populated via script. Nevertheless, you can accomplish this situation using the API and the fields will be updated.
