3426021 - Duplicate Lines Exist for An Input Product in Supply Task

When you confirm supply to production task, you see that two lines appear for an input product, one with source logistics area data and another without this information. It is important to note that for this input product the total planned quantity of the two lines corresponds to the actual required quantity (determined by the required quantity of the output product and the required quantity of the input product in BoM).

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Production Control Work Center.
  2. Navigate to Task Control View.
  3. Search for the production task.
  4. Choose Confirm Button, then you will find the mentioned scenario in Line Items Tab.

You have set up a material flow rule for source determination rules in site level. As a result, when you confirm the supply task, the system automatically fills in the source logistics area and the actual quantity according to the defined material flow rule. Furthermore, when the quantity in the source logistics area does not fulfill the full planned quantity, the system automatically creates a new line item for the remaining planned quantity of the product.

This is the standard and expected behavior of the system.
