3426088 - List Pricing is Not Taken From Reference Contract Item Into the Sales Order

Symptom

You tried to maintain the contract/item reference in the existing sales order, and find the list price of the sales order line is not taken from the contract item.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales Orders work center view.
  2. Open the sales order ABC.
  3. Go to the Items tab, the line 10 refers to contract/item XYZ/10.
  4. You find the list price of the line 10 is not updated. You expect that the list price should be taken from the contract item XYZ/10.
  • ABC represents the ID of the sales order.
  • XYZ represents the ID of the contract.

Cause

When a sales order is created as follow up document from the contract, the list price of the sales order line is then taken from the reference contract item. But if the sales order is created stand alone and then manually maintained a reference to contract item, the list price of the sales order line will be not updated.

Resolution

This is the current system designed behavior.
