3426706 - BCP utility hits CTLIB comn_cryptolib_load error - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • After upgrading ASE
  • Using BCP with initstring, colpasswd or keypasswd  clause returns an encryption related CSLIB / CTLIB error:

    CSLIB Message:  - L0/O0/S0/N10/6/0:
    comn_cryptolib_load(): user api layer: internal common library error: Failed to load library '%1!'.
    CTLIB Message:  - L4/O2/S6/N47/6/0:
    ct_send(): protocol specific layer: internal Client Library error: There is a tds login error. The installed encryption handler returned a status that was not CS_SUCCEED.
    Establishing connection failed.
