Symptom

Is there a way to figure out the size of a model (both Planning and Analytic) in SAC?

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 2.0.

Resolution

There is no direct way to know SAC Model size in MB/GB.

Workaround -

  1. If you want to know the memory consumption for model, you can create a story on the model MEMORY_CONSUMPTION_BASE_1  from Files/System/Common/SAC Content/System Overview.
  2. Create a story based on the model MEMORY_CONSUMPTION_BASE_1 from Files -> System -> Common -> SAC Content -> System Overview.
  3. Insert a widget.
  4. Add Measures -  AMOUNT_MB.
  5. Add Dimensions - CATEGORY, ITEM
  6. Filter out CATEGORY and select MODELS.
  7. Filter out ITEM and search for the technical name of the model you are looking for in the search box.

The size of the model in MB will be displayed in the widget.
