How to create a customized Chart of Accounts in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

To configure a customized Chart of Accounts (COA), proceed as follows:

1. In the configuration environment, search for the Edit Chart of Accounts List (102422) configuration activity.

2. Open the Edit Chart of Accounts List configuration activity and create a new entry in the appropriate namespace:

   1. Enter the ID and description for the new alternative COA
   2. Enter the length of the account number for G/L accounts to be added to this alternative COA (maximum value: 10)
   3. Save the entries
      
      When the system prompts, create an initial account by entering an account number:
      
      Note: This account will be copied to create other G/L accounts needed for the new COA.
