3427458 - SIA does not start after enabling restricted ports (<1024) for Java using cap_net_bind_service

Symptom

  • ./startservers or ccm.sh -start all is no longer starting the SIA if the cap_net_bind_service permission is given to java
    Example command:
     setcap cap_net_bind_service+ep /BO/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/linux_x64/sapjvm/bin/java
  • In this specific case, the command was run to use port 443 for Tomcat
  • Tomcat is running on port 443
  • The strace of ./startservers shows the issue is that the SIA can't load a particular library:
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no jxlib in java.library.path
