3427846 - Time Sheet Approval Center: Designs and Restrictions in SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking (TTR)

• With 2H 2024 release, the Time Sheet Approval Center is available with active SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking license.

• The Time Sheet Approval Center is designed primarily to provide managers with a comprehensive overview of unsubmitted and submitted time sheets that require their action.

• It does not serve as an HR administration tool.

• This KBA lists the existing designs and known restrictions of the Time Sheet Approval Center.

SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking

Current design: 

• Time Sheet Approval Center (TSAC) displays only time sheets that require manager action, such as those in To Be Submitted or To Be Approved status.
• Time sheets already in Approved status are not displayed, as no further action is needed.
• Future time sheets are also not visible, because they have not yet been created as records in the system (no external code exists).

The Time Sheet Approval Center currently has the following known design limitations:

1. To be Approved time sheets disappear from Time Sheet Approval Center
   Please check whether the log on user accessing the Time Sheet Approval Center is the approver of the To be Approved time sheet or not. 
   Please understand, the To be Approved status time sheets will only show up in the Time Sheet Approval Center of the approver. 
   If the log on user is not the approver, the To be Approved time sheet will not show up for the log on user, because there is no requirement of any action from the log on user at all. 
2. Key Facts column supports the TOIL account configured in "Time Account Type for Time Off in Lieu" of the employees Time Profile only
   Until now, standard time sheet supports posting to only one TOIL (Time-off in lieu) time account. 
   However you may have set up multiple TOIL accounts via customer configuration, for example like in blog post of Employee Central Time Off - Multiple Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) solution.
   But right now, the Key Facts column in Time Sheet Approval Center supports only the TOIL account that is configured in "Time Account Type for Time Off in Lieu" of Time Profile. 
3. Previous values for Recorded Time, Allowances, and Key Facts are supported in amendment scenario as of 2H 2024 release. 
   Details in Time Sheet Approval Center is Generally Available can be referred to. 
   But the below points need to be paid attention to.
   • Previous Values for Key Facts of Time Type Groups will only display when the Time Type Groups are Time Pay Type. 
   • Previous Values for TOIL account and WTA account have been supported as of 1H 2025 release.
     Please create 'Working Time Account' and 'Time Off In Lieu Account' type Time Sheet Key Facts for WTA and TOIL account respectively, and include these time sheet key facts in the Time Sheet Key Fact Configuration object. And the previous values for WTA and TOIL accounts will show up corresponding to the relevant 'Working Time Account' and 'Time Off In Lieu Account' type Time Sheet Key Facts.
     
     
   • Time Collector is not supported with previous value now. Only the current value will be displayed.
   • Daily Time Container is supported with 1H 2025 release together with previous value, and also for flexible time sheet periods, like monthly period. 
     But it is requested to set the time container as Time Pay Type = Yes in order to show the previous value.
     
   • Daily Time Container for day unit recorders has been supported from 1H 2025 in Legacy Week and Flexible Period time sheets.
   • Flexible Period Time Containers are supported in Time Sheet Approval Center, but the previous values will not show for flexible period time containers, even when the flexible period time containers are Time Pay Type. This is consistent with Time Sheet UI. 
     
   • If a time sheet is created before upgrading to 2H 2024, but amended after upgrading to 2H 2024, then the previous value for Recorded Time will not come up, instead null will be displayed.
