3428006 - Support of WITH clause in Sql Statement -SAP IQ

Symptom

  • SAP IQ Sql Statement syntax does NOT include WITH clause
  • SAP Sql Anywhere Statement syntax includes WITH clause
    [ WITH temporary-views ]
  SELECT [ ALL | DISTINCT ] [ row-limitation-option-1 ] select-list
[ INTO { hostvar-list | variable-list | table-name } ]
[ INTO LOCAL TEMPORARY TABLE { table-name } ]
  • Queries having WITH clause are executed in SAP IQ without error nor warning, however results may be inconsistent !
  • Need clarification about supporting WITH clause in IQ store tables
