Symptom

In standard or custom email templates, in step 2 email trigger dropdown is not populating.
Email Trigger picklist missing

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Email Service
  2. Manage Template
  3. Select any standard email template
  4. Go to step 2 "Select Trigger". This dropdown menu is blank.

Cause

RBP Settings

Resolution

Make sure user has following permission setting are provided to user:

Configure Email Framework Permissions

  • Configure Email Categories
  • Configure Email Triggers
  • Configure Email Templates
  • Configure Audit Trail
  • Allow Resend Emails

Email Framework Object Permissions

  • EmailMessageView/Edit
  • EmailReminderStateView/Edit
  • EmailScheduleStateView/Edit
  • EmailSettingsView/Edit
  • EmailTemplateView/Edit
  • EmailTemplatePartView/Edit
  • EmailTriggerView/Edit
  • EmailTriggerCategory
