Symptom
Unable to access Thunderbridge.
Environment
Thunderbridge Analytics for Incentive Management
Reproducing the Issue
You has access to your IAS and IPS, however, when trying to access the TBAI, you receive a blank screen.
Resolution
For TBAI to function properly, you need to ensure the following:
- Correct setup in their IAS environment.
- In IAS, users need a profile created with their email, first name, and last name.
- The profile must include the following groups: (You can check this going into Users & Authorizations > User management > Search for the user > Click on it > Groups.)
>APP_SCAN, APP_SCAI
>ADMINISTRATOR_COMM-SCAN
>ADMINISTRATOR_COMM-SCAI. - Users must have admin rights. To check this, go to Users & Authorizations > Administrators and see if the user is listed. If not, select Add > User > In the Identifier, enter the user's email ID.
- Proper synchronization in IPS.
- A read job must have been run after the last modification made to the user's profile.
- If any modifications were made to the user profile, navigate to IPS > Source Systems > select the option for the IAS source > Jobs > On Read Job click "Run Now".
- If a user doesn't have authorization to access IPS, an IPS admin must add their user ID. Go to Security > Authorizations > Scroll down until you find the Add option > Enter the user ID.
- The VPN in use must permit SAP tools.
- Sometimes, even if the user has the appropriate groups and admin rights on IAS, the same first and display name on their profile, and the read job has been run, they may still be unable to connect to TBAI. In such cases, users need to check with their network team to ensure the TBAI URL is allowed by their VPN/Network.
