3428337 - Table BC_MSG has a very large LOB space even though the default delete Job is running regularly

Symptom

The disk size of table BC_MSG is growing rapidly (more than 100GB per day) even though setting the retention to 5 days as per SAP Note 872388. 
Running delete job daily but it is not releasing the disk space at DB level.

Checking the monitor view M_TABLE_LOB_STATISTICS for the size of LOB columns in table BC_MSG , it is found that column MSG_BYTES occupied a very large disk space:
