When you are using SPAM/SAINT to update support package SAP_BASIS 740 to SP08 and higher, the SAPM/SAINT stops with the error as below:

This means that these Support Packages cannot be imported using Support Package Manager or Add-On Installation Tool. Use Software Update Manager (SUM) in standard or advanced mode to import the following Support Packages:
