The error "ZIP file does not contain the manifest" raises when importing attachments via Data Workbench.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Data Workbench > Import.
  2. Select Attachment, and then select an object.
  3. Click the button "Next".
  4. Upload the zip file that contains the file "manifest.csv".
  5. The error "ZIP file does not contain the manifest" raises.


The uploaded ZIP file was not generated properly. Specifically, the ZIP file here contains a folder containing "manifest.csv". However, the required ZIP file should contain "manifest.csv" directly instead of a folder.


Please follow the steps below to generate the required ZIP file.

  1. Select all the files including "manifest.csv" in the same folder.
  2. Right-click on the file "manifest.csv".
  3. Click on the option "Compress to ZIP file".

  4. Upload the ZIP file generated via Data Workbench.

*Note: Please don't compress the folder that contains the file "manifest.csv". This will result in the same error message.
