3430414 - Wrong Value is Shown in 'Manager' Field on Data Analytics

You are previewing Org Units and you see that two units in the same hierarchy level have different managers.

You preview the same report on a Test system and a Productive system, and the field "Manager" is different.

1. Business Analytics.
2. Design Data Sources view.
3. Select Org Unit Master Data.
4. Click on "Preview".
5. On View, Select Row fields 'Manager' and 'Org Unit'.
6. On Org Unit, type the relevant Units.
7. Check that Manager Fields are different, even though they should have the same Manager.

The Data Source Org Unit Master Data has a limitation to show only one manager. This might be either the functional manager or reporting line manager.

When previewing the data, the result for Manager is arbitrary (the system will choose any of the managers). For this reason, the result can be different in Test and a Productive system.

Org Units have different Managers:

• Functional manager
• Reporting line manager
  
  

If you need the Data to only show the reporting line manager, please use the Data source 'Reporting Line Unit Master Data'.
In case you need the Data to only show the Functional Manager, you can use the Data source 'Functional Unit Master Data'.
