3430776 - Group Reporting: Auto-reversal in first period of a new fiscal year

Symptom

Starting release S/4HANA 2022 (of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition), automatic reversal documents in first period of a fiscal year for a document type that has the setting 

  • Automatic reversal in subsequent period/year ON and
  • Suppress Posting of Automatic Reversals to Subsequent Year OFF

are posted by Balance Carryforward task.

While running Balance Carryforward task in Data Monitor app for a single consolidation unit in year X, documents of a cross-years auto-reversing document type are getting reversed in the first period of fiscal year X for every consolidation unit.
