3431000 - SAC NEO tenant Live tunnel connection from SAC to S/4HANA has no Username and Password authentication option.

Symptom

  • Your SAC tenant is hosted on SAP datacenter. It is also called a "NEO tenant".

    • To determine whether the tenant is hosted on a SAP data center (NEO) or a non-SAP Data center (CF) refer to your tenant URL:

      • NEO (SAP Data Centre) – Region hosts with single digits eg. EU1 or US1
      • CF (Non-SAP Data Centre) – Region hosts with double digits eg. EU10 or US10

  • When creating a new live connection to S/4Hana in SAC, using tunnel connection type, the authentication option is only SAML Single Sign On
  • Product documentation says that both Username and Password and SAML Single Sign On as supported
