3431022 - Unable to remove SAP value accelerator becauese dictionary item keeps recreating itself

Sometimes dictionary items keep re-creating itself for the SAP value accelerator and have difficulty removing it.

Please refer to below user guide for Value Accelerator, section 6 indicates how to remove the contents.

6.1 Deleting Content before Updating
Prepare the customer workspace by deleting previously-imported content to avoid the creation of duplicates.
Prerequisites
• You are a workspace administrator.
• No new diagrams were created and no imported diagrams were changed in the folder that the value
accelerators were imported to.

• You haven't used the imported dictionary categories to add new dictionary items or to change imported
dictionary items.
• The previously-imported diagrams and dictionary entries have not been linked to other entities. If such
links exist, you have to reset them manually after the update.
Context
You need to delete content that was previously imported with value accelerator packages, namely dictionary
entries and their categories, custom attributes of dictionary categories and custom attributes of modeling
languages.
Procedure
1. Delete the folder with the diagrams that was used for the previous import.
a. Select the folder in the work area (not in the file tree structure in the sidebar) and choose Edit
Delete .
b. Select Refresh from the toolbar.
2. Delete SAP dictionary categories.
a. From the Setup menu, select Define notations/attributes.
b. Under Dictionary, select imported SAP dictionary categories, then Remove.
c. Confirm the deletion.
If any custom attributes have been defined for the category, its subcategories, or the categories of
linked dictionary elements, you have to remove them completely before you can delete the category.
 Caution
Make sure that none of the attributes are used elsewhere than in the imported SAP dictionary
categories.
3. Delete custom attributes of modeling languages.
a. From the Setup menu, select Define notations/attributes.
b. Under Modeling language, select the relevant language and diagram element type.
c. Remove all custom attributes.
 Caution
Make sure that the attributes aren't used elsewhere in this workspace.
Results
After you've successfully completed the workspace cleanup, you can import updated value accelerators.

Key points:

When you go to Step 2. Delete SAP dictionary categories, please see if you encounter any error when deleting SAP value accelerator related category. If you do encounter an error, then the delete process will fail. As a note says, custom attributes need to be deleted first.
