Symptom
We are in the process of designing a production S/4HANA system. Our plan is to utilize the Software-Implemented Operating System (SIOS) solution for the high availability of the HANA database. Primarily, we will employ Hana System Replication (HSR) to synchronize with the standby database, however, it appears that the backup directory (/hana/backup) on the standby side is enabled during failover.
Is it secure to deactivate the /hana/backup file system in HANA on the HSR standby system? We have concerns about whether there will be any writing on the standby system.
