Symptom
The item table custom default variant is not displayed. Instead, the default variant is always displayed.

Reproducing the Issue
[CASE 1]
- Go to the Customer Projects Factsheet app.
- Defined default public variants for any of the item tables.
- Go back to Fiori Launchpad Home page.
- Select enterprise search "Customer Projects" in the Fiori Launchpad search.
- Search by any project ID.
- Open the project.
- Notice all new default variants are gone.
[CASE 2]
- Go to Manage Purchase Orders app.
- Defined default public variants for the Items or Line Items tables ("Standard2").
- Go back to the Fiori Launchpad Home Page.
- Search by app "Manage Purchase Orders" in the Fiori Launchpad search.
- Access the app.
- Search by any purchase order ID using the fuzzy search
- Go to the details of the Purchase Order
- Notice Items and Line Items variants are set to "Standard".
- Open the available views for Items and Line Items.
- Notice the default variant "Standard2" is available in the list.
Resolution
The fix will be released with SAP S/4HANA Cloud HFC04 (02-03.03).
