3431306 - Since CE2402 upgrade Header texts are missing when a Sales Order is created with a WBS Element

Symptom

  • When a sales order is created with header texts and is assigned a WBS element, after saving the document, header texts are removed.
  • A sales order is created via API_SALES_ORDER_SRV. The sales order expects both header texts and a WBS Element. The sales order is created and saved but the header texts are missing.

Environment

  • Sales and Distribution (SD)
  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud CE2402

Cause

The behavior is a result of a memory issue encountered when a WBS Element is part of the sales order creation process with header texts.

Resolution

As a workaround, API_SALES_ORDER_SRV can be used in two calls. One separate call for the order creation with a WBS element and another to update the text information.

A fix for this issue is planned to be delivered with hotfix collection 4 (HFC04). Please note that this date is not guaranteed. SAP may need to alter this date without prior warning.
