3431334 - Country of issuance field not getting populated in E-verify process - Onboarding 1.0

Symptom

When processing E-verify activity, the process of issuance is not being populated, leading to the following error when attempting to submit the activity:

The request to E-Verify web service has failed with the following error(s):
country_code: Invalid value for "country_code" 

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Perform Onboarding activity for the candidate.
  2. In New Employee Step, select citizenshipstatus "NonCitizen Authorized to work".
  3. Select document from list A "Foreign Passport with a form I-94".
  4. Choose the country details from "CountryOfIssuance".
  5. Complete New Employee Step and Orientation Step.
  6. E-verify activity triggered after completion of onboarding process.
  7. CountryOfIssunace details not populated in the panel.
  8. This results he below error when submitting the activity:

The request to E-Verify web service has failed with the following error(s):
country_code: Invalid value for "country_code" 

Resolution

Engineering team identified the issue and is currently working on the resolution.

The issue will be fixed within 1H 2024 (b2405) Release. Release dates can be found on SAP SuccessFactors Product Release & Road Map Information

In the meantime, you can follow the steps below as a workaround:

  1. Go through the E-verify process.
  2. Attempt to submit the activity.
  3. Receive the following error message.
  4. Click the Back button twice and go to page "Review Employee Information from Form I-9"
  5. In this page the Country of Issuance will be available to select.
  6. Complete the process again.
  7. Able to submit the activity with no errors.
