Symptom

  • When running a job that loads data to a target Google Big Query table, special characters (such as "ã", for example) are not loaded correctly.
  • Throughout the job, the data charset encoding is being consistently handled and it matches the target table codepage.
  • The SQL Loader in the job trace log contains the expected string format of the data.
