3431449 - Unable to edit process chains, process chain stays in status "Loading process chain"

Symptom

  • While trying to edit process chains based on custom process it remains in status "Loading process chain" 
  • On the browser if you press F12, developer tools you will see more details of the issue, such as:
    Internal Server Error   
    An exception with the type CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_ CLASS was raised, but was not handled locally or d eclared in a RAISING clause. 
    Method call of IF_RSPC_SIMPLE_PROCESS_TYPE~GET_USE R_INTERFACE failed; the class * does not exist
