3432333 - Is it possible to edit or change the fields from "Generate a Document" screen? - Employee Central

After editing a field within Document Generation Template object, it gets only reflected to the template itself (in Manage Document Template) and not to the "Generate a Document" screen under Take Action.

In our example, the visibility of the field "templateShortDescription" (Template Description) is set as "Not Visible". 

The configuration has been reflected to the template itself hence Template Description is not visible:

However, the field is still visible in UI:

• Navigate to Configure Object Definitions;
• Select "Object Definition" and "Document Generation Template";
• Click on "Take Action" > "Make Correction";
• Change the configuration of a field; in our example, set the field "templateShortDescription" as "Not Visible" > Save;
• Navigate to Manage Document Template > Choose the template > See the field "Template Description" is not visible;
• Navigate to Employee Profile > Click on Take Action > Generate Document > See the field "Template Description" is still visible.

Expected behavior.

As per system current design, it is not possible to change or control the fields in "Generate a Document" screen. The changes made within the object are applicable only to the Template level.
