3432628 - Highest fiscal year is read only in Make Company Code Settings app S/4Hana Cloud

Symptom

The field Highest fiscal year is read only in the Make Company Code Settings app.

Environment

S/4Hana Cloud. 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Make Company Codes Settings app.
  2. Select your company code, and navigate to the ledger.
  3. The field High f year is not editable. 

Cause

The highest fiscal year goes to read only once there are postings made to an asset. 

Resolution

  • Reverse all postings from the assets to make editable once more (note depreciation cannot be reversed, meaning if there is depreciation then a company code reset is the only option).
  • Reset the company code data.
