3432839 - Business Catalogs is not visible in IAM Information System app

Symptom

  • Business Catalogs available in the system but it's not visible in IAM Information system App.
  • Business Catalog only visible through Business catalog App.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  • Go to "IAM Information System" App.
  • Select Main Entity as "Business catalog".
  • Search Business Catalog.
  • Go to tab Business Catalog - Business Role and Business Catalog - Business User.

Cause

Business Catalog is not assigned to any user role.

Resolution

In the IAM Information System application, we have following option to view the data.

  • Business Catalog - Business Role :-> Here, you can fetch data only for the Business catalog assigned to Business roles.

  • Business Catalog - Business User :-> Similarly, you can fetch data only for the Business catalog assigned to Business users.

The Business Catalog is not assigned to any user or role.

You can verify this by following the steps below:

  • Go to Business Catalog App
  • Search for Business catalog
  • Access Business catalog
  • Click on More
  • Notice that it is not used in any Business Roles, Used In Business Roles (0) 

Additionally, you can check in the IAM Information app:

  • Select the Main Entity as Business Catalog
  • Search for Business Catalog
  • Click on More
  • Go to the Business Catalog - Scope Items tab and Business Catalog - Business Role Template

You will observe that Business catalog is available in the IAM Information System App

The reason you cannot see the Business Catalog in the Business Catalog - Business Role and Business Catalog - Business User tabs is that the Business catalog is not assigned to any User or Role

Please assign the Business catalog to a user role to view it in the IAM Information system app.
