3432851 - Error "Key Missing", "Company missing" when adding a Process Control

You are trying to enter a Process Control for Company ABC (ABC represents the Company ID). But you are unable to save the values as the errors appear.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to General Ledger work center.
2. Select the view Companies.
3. Select Company ABC.
4. Select "Set Process Control".
5. Select Add Row and enter the required data.
6. Select Save

Process control initialization happens when a company is activated. When company ABC was activated there was an inconsistency that prevented the Process control to be activated.

To correct this inconsistency for Company ABC you need to complete a dummy change on the company.

1. Go to the Organizational Management work center.
2. Select the Org Structures view.
3. Find and locate the Company ABC.
4. Select Edit.
5. Compete a change such as Editing the Company name.
6. Save the changes and Activate.
7. Then change the name back to original.
8. Save the changes and Activate again.

You will notice that when you go to:

1. Go to General Ledger work center.
2. Select the view Companies.
3. Select Company ABC.
4. Select "Set Process Control".

Now the Company name appears at the top of the screen.
