3433891 - Employee Central History job failing when MDF field is mapped - Variable Pay

Symptom

Employee Central History job keeps failing after mapping and MDF object in EC Employee History Field Mapping.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Compensation

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Manage Users -> Import Employee History from Employee Central
  2. Click to process the import
  3. Job fails

Cause

The effectiveStartDate field doesn't have any label configured for the object.

Resolution

  1. Delete the records of the user from "Manage Data" for mapped custom MDF object
  2. Go to "Configure Object Definition" and search for the MDF Object
  3. For the field mdfSystemEffectiveStartDate, change Name Column to "effectiveStartDate"
  4. Then click on Details. There, also change the labels and the translation to effectiveStartDate
  5. Create the new record for the user in "Manage Data"
  6. Run the Employee Central History Processor job in full import
