3434523 - PackageSizeOverLimit error when deploying a package to another CPQ environment

Symptom

When trying to Deploy a Product to another CPQ environment we're getting error on the screen that says "DeploySendChanges.PackageSizeOverLimit".

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In CPQ Setup, go to Deploy / Send Changes
  2. Create a Deployment package with any component
  3. Deploy the package
  4. We get error.

Cause

The error occurs when the size of the deployment package is more than 20 MB.

Resolution

  • There is a size limit for deployment packages, and it is 20 MB. 
  • It says so here in the Note point at the bottom of this help document:
    Deployment Packages | SAP Help Portal
  • So please reduce the size of the package and then it should be successfully deployed.
  • You could create several packages with a smaller number of products or other components.
  • To check the size of the package, download it onto your computer, and right-click on the zipped file and click on Properties to check it's size.
    It shouldn't be more than 20MB.
